Kristi and I spent part of the week of June 3, 2013 volunteering at the Center for Safe Schools and Communities International Social Competency Conference. The conference is held at the Holiday Inn Denver East. The conference included numerous presentations for teachers, other school personnel and parents related to social emotional learning, aggression replacement training, peace curriculum, parent empowerment, character education, emotional intelligence and social skills and classroom discipline.
The purpose of the conference was to bring practitioners and parents together from various nations to share strategies in these areas that work with children and parents.
